Texas Monthly: How to Evolve in a Changing Industry

May 1 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Register to Attend

Texas Monthly’s goal is to be the most valuable regional media brand in the United States. To get there, it must reclaim its place atop an ever-changing media landscape. How does an iconic organization build on its storied history while defining an even more ambitious future? Can Texas Monthly widen its conception of it is? Can it be more than a magazine? Can it become a relentlessly relevant brand, agile at expressing itself digitally, experientially, and (of course) in print?

Join us for a discussion at the intersection of tradition and innovation with Texas Monthly’s new leadership team: Tim Taliaferro, VP & Editor in Chief and Scott Brown, Chief Creative Officer. Nic Phillips, Founder of CultureMap, will moderate.

About the Panelists:
In December, Tim Taliaferro, former editor of The Alcalde, became Texas Monthly’s editor in chief, the sixth in its 45-year history. While Scott Brown, an innovation expert and creative director who recently sold his successful ad agency, The Company of Others, started as the brand’s first chief creative officer.
