What you need to know before you apply for a patent

What you will learn: As you figure out your go to market strategy, protecting your ideas is important. We’ve developed a simple chart to help entrepreneurs determine whether or not they should file for a patent. Join Dr. Eric Leininger, registered patent agent and CEO of PatentDive, for a fun and fast info session on patents and startups. Funded by the National Science Foundation, PatentDive builds software for patent education and rapid patent drafting.
Who should attend: Anyone with a novel idea!

Eric Leininger is a registered Patent Agent and the founder/owner of Leininger Patents, a biotech consulting and patent agency firm. Leininger Patents has provided patent search, preparation, consultation, and drawings for more than 30 different clients. Dr. Leininger holds a PhD in Neurobiology from Tulane University and is a USPTO registered patent agent. In addition to his expertise in biology, Dr. Leininger has more than 10 years of hands-on programming experience in a variety of programming languages.

While developing his patent practice, Dr. Leininger conceived of the idea of assisted patent drafting in order to increase the efficiency of the patent preparation process.
