Translating Tech: Marketing Your Startup in Human Terms
When you talk about your tech company, you tell it like it is: in technical terms. You see the confused faces of potential investors and customers and wonder what they don’t get. So you keep going, keep talking, trying to find something that resonates. If a light bulb doesn’t click in the first 3 minutes, you’re not communicating effectively.
To clearly communicate your company’s value, you must speak the same language as your audience. In this workshop, we’ll teach you how to translate your tech into human terms. We’ll be diving into qualitative research and how you can use in-person interviews to tweak your value proposition.
This will be a hands on workshop–we’ll walk through some case study examples and then teach you how to conduct interviews to gather key insights from your target audience. These insights will help you refine your story, strengthen your value proposition, and guide your website messaging.
This workshop is ideal for early stage tech startups who:
– Have moved out of the idea phase and are now building/marketing their startup
– Want to refine their value proposition with human-centered insights
– May not be getting the traction they had hoped from potential investors/customers
