Value Proposition
val·ue prop·o·si·tion
noun
  •  (in marketing) an innovation, service, or feature intended to make a company or product attractive to customers.

Business person or not, it is important to understand value: value of the things you have, of your actions and the actions of others, of the people in your life, and most importantly, your self value. Campus Management’s Senior Director of Product Development, Marcus Erickson, helped entrepreneurs understand value, and value proposition here at Station Houston at the workshop seminar Understanding & Communicating Your Value Proposition.

The workshop was divided into two parts: presentation, and discussion. Marcus gave a presentation over aspects of a company’s brand, such as vision, mission, value, and features and benefits. Case studies were included to provide real-world examples. The purpose was to educate and inform the attending entrepreneurs to evaluate their company’s position in the market and what features and benefits of their company differentiate them and how they provide value. After the presentation, the guests were able to go up and present their company in front of their peers and have a discussion over their value proposition.
